Manfi NetOps isn't just a tool for one ISP. It's a SaaS platform that any ISP in Bangladesh can sign up for and run under their own branding. Building multi-tenancy into the foundation — not bolted on later — was the single most important architectural decision.
Why database-per-tenant?
We chose stancl/tenancy v3 with the database-per-tenant approach. The alternative — row-level tenancy with a tenant_id column on every table — is simpler to set up but dangerous for ISP data. A billing bug that accidentally queries without a tenant filter could expose Customer A's invoice data to Customer B's admin. With database isolation, that's physically impossible.
Each ISP tenant gets:
- A separate MySQL database (e.g.,
tenant_acme_net,tenant_skylink) - A unique subdomain (
acme.netops.manfii.com) or custom CNAME domain (billing.acmenet.com.bd) - Their own logo, invoice branding, SMS sender name, and gateway API keys in the tenant settings
- Feature flags: toggle which modules are enabled (reseller, field ops, CCTV, etc.)
The landlord layer
Above the tenant layer sits the Super Admin (landlord) panel. This is where Manfi manages:
- Tenant provisioning: creating a new ISP tenant with one click
- SaaS subscription tiers: Basic (100 subscribers), Business (1,000), Enterprise (unlimited)
- Laravel Cashier + Stripe for recurring SaaS billing from ISPs to Manfi
- Global health monitoring: all tenants, their subscriber counts, MRR, and system status
White-label in practice
An ISP signs up, configures their domain, uploads their logo, and enters their bKash/SSLCommerz credentials. From that point, every customer-facing element — the self-service portal, invoice PDFs, SMS messages — carries the ISP's branding. Customers never see the word "Manfi."
This is the same model as white-label SaaS platforms globally, but built for the specific constraints of the Bangladeshi ISP market: local payment gateways, Bengali language support, MikroTik as the de facto router standard, and a reseller distribution model common in Dhaka's residential neighborhoods.
